Location: Chelmsford

This role will be filled on a hybrid basis. This means you can work remotely part of the working week with an expectation to attend the office in Chelmsford at least 2 days per week, as well as events around the county on occasion. Any journeys to the office would be at your own expense. More specific details about this can be discussed at the interview stage should you be invited.

As a function with Public Health, Active Essex is driven by the "Fit for the Future - The Physical Activity and Sport strategy for Essex, Southend and Thurrock 2021-31." This outlines the vision for an active Essex to improve everyone's health and wellbeing, working together across systems to make physical activity a part of everyday life for everyone.
This role will support the Marketing team to organise and deliver creative and impactful marketing for the Active Essex team, to grow brand profile and inspire residents across the county to be physically active. The role will consist of working across multiple campaigns and events, helping to manage social media accounts, writing blogs and press releases and showcasing the team's impact across Essex communities.
The successful candidate will have some experience in marketing and have knowledge of the full marketing mix, good copy-writing skills and be able to demonstrate experience of using creative and innovative delivery methods effectively.
This candidate requires a qualification in marketing, communications, or equivalent in experience.
