Maintenance Team Leader - Mechanical
up to £50,000 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated, experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join the team at a successful, global manufacturer at their site in Wakefield. My client can offer excellent training, progression and career development.
Main Responsibilities of Mechanical Team Leader:
As a supervisor you will be responsible for your own personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority.
Promote strong and visible Health and Safety leadership.
Drive safety improvements within your team.
Monitor the inspection process to ensure that the correct inspection set ups are followed.
Attend daily meetings to gain awareness hi-light any engineering issues that have taken place in the Inspection Department.
Establish an effective communication flow between departments and senior management to maintain a well-informed team.
Build a high-performance team.
Promote an environment of trust and respect.
Ensure your team are trained and competent.
Identify opportunities to develop capability of equipment performance, to ensure standards are continuously improved.
Requirements of Mechanical Team Leader:
Engineering apprentice trained and qualified.
Highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills
Team Leadership skills/ people management skills
Lean Manufacturing experience
IT Skills- Including, PowerPoint, Excel, Word + SAP
An understanding of the Company's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policy
Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills
Working towards, or willing to achieve, IOSH Managing Safety.
