Manual Machinist / Machinist / Lathe Operator shall be operating manual lathes and mills to produce and repair precision parts for various mechanical products.
Manual Machinist / Machinist�/ Lathe Operator will have experience of manual machining including precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, turning, and more.

Manual Machinist / Machine Technician / Lathe Operator Role

• Will provide manual machining including precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, turning, and more.
• Perform accurate centre lathe turning for component manufacturing and repair.
• Use metrology equipment to ensure precise measurement and compliance with specifications.
• Participate in training for additional skills, such as thermal spraying and welding, to expand expertise.
• Liaise with various engineering departments

Machinist / Manual Machinist / Lathe Operator Requirements:

• Experience with manual lathes, manual machine tools, mechanical assemblies, metrology equipment.
• Experience of manual machining including precision grinding, honing, boring, milling, turning, and more.
• Proven experience with manual machine tools such as lathes and mills, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Apprenticeship or engineering qualification in mechanical or machining disciplines is advantageous.
• Reading technical drawings, setting up machines, and ensuring adherence to tight tolerances is essential.
• Commutable to the workshop in Ramsgate
