Sacco Mann is working with a Private Equity backed business with huge ambition diversity and growth plans, which intends to recruit a Legal Counsel to manage the legal function. Reporting to the Director of Audit, Risk & Compliance, this is a hybrid role requiring x2 days in the office, based at the HQ on the outskirts of Leeds.

This is a standalone role and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE with some exposure to Financial Services and FCA regulation including CCA, ideally with previous In-house exposure in the sector. This is a hugely varied position and you'll provide timely and commercially driven legal advice to internal stakeholders across all business functions, with a core focus on acquisitions and client relationship management, risk & compliance, and finance

Day to day you'll be responsible for drafting commercial agreements and contracts with clients and suppliers for all Group relationships as well as working on all aspects of corporate and commercial legal tasks, servicing a diverse range of stakeholders. There may well be aspects of litigation from time to time along with GDPR/Data protection guidance and advice, supporting the incumbent DPO during absence or larger projects.
