The role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified solicitor to join our dynamic legal and compliance team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor and possess a strong background in reviewing commercial agreements and contracts. Experience with European contract law is highly desirable, though not necessary. This role involves providing critical support to our Legal Lead, handling reactive legal tasks, reviewing a range of commercial agreements and ensuring compliance with company policies as well as contract negotiation and contract review.
This role is pivotal in supporting the wider sales business and in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our recruitment operations, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service to our clients and candidates.

Experience and Qualifications:
Education:
Law degree (or GDL equivalent) is required.
LPC or SQE1 or SQE2 qualification
Completion of training contract or 2 years’ Qualifying Work Experience (SRA approved)
Current Practising Certificate
Experience & Skills:
0-2 yrs PQE with significant exposure to contract law
Ideally experience in a legal role within a recruitment agency, or consultancy or other revenue generating organisation
Ideally an understanding of the legal framework that applies to the recruitment sector
Ideally, experience in European contract law is highly desirable but not necessary
Ideally, experience of data protection law is highly desirable but not necessary
Familiarity with regulatory compliance is desirable but not necessary
Proven experience in a small to mid-sized legal environment.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts and legal compliance.
Collaborative working approach.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and prioritise effectively.
Responsibilities:
Contract Review and Compliance:
Support in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and contracts.
Ensure contracts align with company policies and legal requirements.
Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks in contract negotiations.
Supporting Legal Lead
Provide direct support to our Legal Lead in managing legal tasks and priorities.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
Conduct legal research as needed to support ongoing projects.
Risk Management:
Analyse and understand where the company's legal risks lie within contracts and agreements.
Prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring that high-risk issues are addressed promptly.
Pressure Management:
Maintain a level-headed and calm approach in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a small, close-knit team.
