£11.20 - £13.00 per hour - Monday to Friday

As Vetro Education continue to support this Further Education College in Cardiff we are keen to recruit a number of specialist Learning Coaches to take up full time, long term roles within the Junior Apprenticeship scheme.
The Junior Apprenticeship scheme is set up to assist 15 and 16 year old learners who have trouble engaging in a mainstream school environment. As well as core subjects, Maths, Science and English the learners take part in vocational subjects, Automotive, Hair and Beauty, Catering, Public Services etc. A number of the learners struggle with social and emotional mental health issues and/or challenging behaviour. Many also have engagement issues when taking part in core subjects.

Minimum requirements:
Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment – experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour would be extremely beneficial.
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
EWC registration (Further education support worker)
Right to work in the UK
