A Software Engineering position exists in the Typhoon Avionics Sub Systems Team to cover the coding and testing aspects of adding substantial new capabilities to the Typhoon Display & Controls subsystem. This role is office based

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of the Risk Class 2* Application Software using Ada
  • Development of the Design using HOOD
  • Requirements traceability using DOORS & Statemate
  • Unit testing with the use of AdaTEST
  • Review of Interface Control Definition baselines
  • SW/SW integration testing
  • HW/SW integration testing
  • Use of AdaMulti and GPS

What we are looking for:

  • The successful candidates will have a degree, HND or equivalent experience software engineering discipline.
  • You must be able to work with minimal supervision, be pro-active, diligent, and have good problem solving, team-working and communications skills.
  • The candidate must be good with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook and good with ADA
  • Communication, Team Working and Motivation are Essential

My client is a large special needs school in the London Borough of Bromley supporting 260 amazing pupils aged 2 to 19 identified with complex needs.

The pupils have layered needs, and their profiles include : Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Communication Disorders, Social, Emotional, Mental Health Priorities, Genetic Disorders, and Multi-Sensory Priorities.

The school is focused on positive relationships, and embraces multi-agency planning which places the pupil and their family at the core of their approach. Positive attitude and effective communication which enables teamwork is fundamental.

The school are recruiting four teachers to cover classroom teaching roles. At the end of the 2022 academic year there may also be opportunities to progress to a full-time contract. The school are very focused on staff well-being and workload balance, and offer a range of staff opportunities for support, including mentoring and NESTs.
