Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week Salary: £20,886 - £23,584 per annum Duration: To October 2022 (chance of extension) Location: Swale & Medway The successful Employment Advisor will be responsible for effectively managing a caseload of up to 20-30 clients at any one time. The clients are currently off work/unemployed, receiving secondary mental health services at the time of referral and wish to gain paid employment. Responsibilities include: * To prepare individuals for a return to work by supporting clients to understand their skills, aspirations and goals. * To focus on rapid job search with the clients, whilst utilising local support networks to help them overcome their barriers to employment. * To source job opportunities for clients through tailored job search and regular contact with employers. * To develop relationships with local employers to negotiate job opportunities. * When placing clients with employers, to ensure that the quality of work environments is explored, including potential for workplace adjustments. * To develop effective working relationships with a range of external agencies who can help individuals to achieve their employment goals. * To provide education and support to employers, as agreed with the individual, which may include negotiating adjustments, return to work strategy and on-going contact with the employer to ensure job retention. * To provide support to clients once to work to assist them in sustaining employment. * To regularly collect and promote clients’ employment recovery stories.
