The role sits within the Legal and Compliance team which is part of the Finance department. Your responsibilities:

  • Support the work of the Compliance Officer in reviewing and developing The Royal Mint's records management system, taking into consideration guidance from The National Archives (TNA) as part of good practice for information management under the Code of Practice.
  • Day to day management of the records management system, including training individuals on the importance of records management and adherence to the Public Records Act and associated statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain the day to day relationship with The National Archives (TNA), the Advisory Council on National Records and Archives, and other associated agencies.
  • Carry out the administrative tasks associated with the records management system in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Demonstrable experience of defining and implementing a compliant Public Records Act framework and of embedding a culture of good records management is essential.

  • Previous experience of the application of meta data, record transfer to TNA, and use of DROID is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills is desirable.
