SEND Teacher- MLD- Moderate Learning Difficulties

A primary school for children aged 4-11 with MLD including ASC (Autism) and associated difficulties is hoping to recruit an experienced SEND teacher in this field for their school to start on a permanent basis in September 2021. The children are generally high functioning and smart so the teachers ability to develop and nurture their social and emotional needs is just as high a priorty as their academic development.

The school is well resourced, supportive and keen to recruit two teachers with a long-term investment in the school culture and ethos. An understanding of TEACCH, PECS and Makaton is required, and those with exposure to or understanding of the ABA method are looked at favourably.
