1st Step Solutions are working with a leading providers of Environmental and Property Incident Response Service providers in Exeter.

As a result of continued business growth, our client are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Operations team.

The main purpose of the job will be to manage multiple construction projects concurrently from inception through to completion.

The role:
- Costing scopes of work, reading and understanding structural engineers plans to write method statements and plan works to a timely manner
- Effective management of all resources associated with the projects, delivering them within budget and previously allowed timeframes
- Managing and monitoring in-house staff and sub-contractor performance, carrying out site visits, audits and snagging
- Working closely with environmental consultants to deliver building works whilst ensuring remediation of properties to remove contamination from buildings and land
- Ensuring all projects are fully compliant with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation, producing and recording documentation
- Liaising and developing relationships with clients and homeowners to ensure transparency in all stages of the project
- Compiling interim and final accounts ready for invoicing within agreed SLAs
- Identifying training needs for site operatives and delivering toolbox talks and updates on company procedures

You will be primarily responsible for managing a caseload of clients within your area. Splitting your time (roughly 50/50) between working from home and being out seeing your clients.

This is a field-based role covering the Devon region, where you'll report to the Regional Manager and will be tasked with the following:

  • Reviewing and assessing your clients within your area and managing their care plans
  • Providing training to the Care Assistants
  • Working with internal and external contacts such as families, local authorities and funders

What experience do I need?

My client wants someone who's got experience of providing clinical Care and Support to vulnerable clients.

They'll also need you to have experience of reviewing and assessing clients as well as writing reports and be results driven.

In addition, it's essential that you possess a nursing qualification and current NMC registration.

You'll also need to be the following:

  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Confident and articulate communicator with ability to build strong relationships with all relevant bodies
  • Computer literate with Microsoft office suite of applications
