This role We are recruiting for Repairs Officers who can be based at either of our regional offices in Beeston, Nottingshamshire or Swavesey, Cambridgeshire. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following; * Provides professional and administrative support to the Project Manager and team. Collates and maintains project documents, provides updates to team members on progress and issues. * Responsible for improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the repairs service. * Undertake technical inspections to support the contractual & financial management of the repairs service and provide recommendations to residents, contractors and management. * Working with partnering contractors, in house contractors, external agencies and other departments to ensure void and responsive repair works are delivered and maintained at agreed levels according to Metropolitan Thames Valley policies and contractual agreements. * Day to day duties involve resolving complaints, carrying out pre and post inspections, raising and authorising works orders, liaising with contractors, Consultants / Inspectors and internal departments collating and supplying Housing and Data Management teams with all regulatory records and files and ensuring these are certified, as well as reporting on operational progress by contractors and Metropolitan Thames Valley maintenance staff against performance targets.
