Precision Grinder / Cylindrical Grinder

Are you a Precision Grinder / Precision Cylindrical Grinder who would like to bring your Grinding skills to a new team and company?

You will be joining a well-established business located in Norfolk who have an outstanding reputation for manufacturing and remanufacturing specialist parts for many sectors to include Automotive, HGV, Plant Machinery, Off Highway equipment and Military Vehicles.

Your main duties will be setting, operating and running a variety of grinding machinery, including cylindrical, surface, centreless and CNC grinders to produce a range of small to medium sized components, in varying batch sizes.

They have a broad customer base meaning the work they do is interesting, varied, cross sector and sometimes difficult / bespoke. But with their get it sorted attitude and team spirit they produce precise and very technically accurate work.

Ideally Located - Norfolk, North Walsham, Aylsham, Cromer, Banningham, Oulton, East Beckham, Plumstead, Wroxham, Stalham

The Candidate and Role

  • Experienced in Precision Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, Surface Grinding and Centreless Grinding
  • Experienced in CNC Grinding, Conventional / Manual Grinding
  • Conventional Milling and Turning experience will be an advantage
  • A good understand of Common Conventional Grinding Practices
  • Wet and operate Grinding Machinery to include CNC
  • Work to accurate standards
  • Team spirited with a can do will do attitude
  • Able to use engineering measuring equipment such as vernier and callipers

Reporting into the Quality Manager, the role is primarily to ensure factory standards, food safety , Integrity and Legality are adhered to and operating procedures are maintained and improved for all lines along with audits of product quality.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out line audits to validate that the product quality matches the agreed QAS with all information correct and complete documentation on-line.
  • Complete scheduled GMP audits and involvement with the production team to ensure close out of issues and seek improvements to stop recurring issues.
  • Be first point of contact for all factory incidents - ensuring these are investigated thoroughly, controlled and closed out with timelines and improvements.
  • Ensure site calibration for probes is completed and fridge temperatures.
  • Ensure site micro testing for product and environmental swabs/water is completed and registered.
  • Nutritional sampling and annual micro validation as and when required.
  • Initial raising of NCR's and ensuring all NCR's are fully investigated, and actions are closed out with evidence and timelines where required.
  • Ensure all Quality or Food Safety investigations are undertaken, and reports communicated into the QM.
  • Facilitate completion of the daily management taste panel and communicate results.
  • Place any OOS product on Hold or Repair as required.
  • Ensure Glass and Shatterable audits are completed as per the agreed schedule ensuring any identified issues are formally raised and closed out.
  • Carry out post clean inspection, utilising ATP and allergen swabbing to verify clean.
