TLTP are currently looking to recruit a EYFS/ Primary ASD/SLD teacher to start ASAP

This is a full-time, 5 day per week post.

TLTP need to find someone who has experience of Manual Handling (as there is 1 non-ambulant pupil with Angelman's Syndrome who has particularly challenging needs in this area) as well as someone equipped to work with low-ability ASD pupils who have sensory processing issues. As a result, the school sometimes have to manage challenging behaviours.
All pupils are non-verbal and are working between P3-4. Much of the class is currently toilet training and due to 1 child having particular behaviour difficulties, the teacher will need to manage a team of 4 support staff and be highly organised in terms of the organisation and routines throughout the school day.
The school really need a teacher who has a good level of physical fitness (most pupils are non-ambulant and therefore lots of Physio/positioning, etc. takes place each day) as well as being creative and musical (as the pupils within this team respond and engage well to someone with this side to their personality). Many of the pupils have additional medical needs seizures, personal care toileting/feeding/pump feeds, suction, etc. Although Support staff are trained and provide this care, the teacher needs to be prepared to oversee this within the classroom/during the day.

You will need to be able to participate in annual reviews with parents/SEN Team and other professionals in a mature, knowledgeable way.
