The ideal candidate for this Mental Health Graduate role most hold a degree and have a willing attitude to learn.

SEMH School

This SEMH School is located in the London brough of Wandsworth and caters for students aged between 7-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. They currently have 120 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2018, they were reviewed as 'Good' in all areas.

The Role

For this youth mentor role, you will be working with small groups of pupils with behaviour difficulties between the ages of 8 - 16 years of age. You will lead mentoring groups to help inspire pupils to focus on specific things in and outside of schools. Some pupils may be on the autistic spectrum or have ADHD. There will be at least 3 teaching assistants in the class, and each class will have no more than 9 pupils in.

A local authority in Berkshire are looking for an social worker experienced in fostering to come into their successful, growing team. The team is small but have had great success in implementing the Family Safeguarding Model and because of this, they have seen a 49% drop in Child Protection cases in the area. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help them continue to maintain the high level of services they provide for the children and carers in the area. Because of these commitments they have Outstanding Ofsted services, giving you the opportunity to be a part of an establishment that understands the importance of the services they provide.

The role will be home-based at times due to the current situation, giving you more flexibility with your work schedule and allowing you to work from a safe environment. However, once the pandemic is over, you will have the opportunity to go to their newly-renovated open plan office where it will be easy to get to know everyone. In this role the case loads will be all within the local area, meaning you won't have to travel far - saving you a lot of time on commutes.
