We are actively seeking Marine Engineers at all skill levels to join a rapidly growing award-winning team. As a new permanent team member based in Wroxham, you will be joining a well-established Luxury Bluewater sailboat brand.
As the Engineer you will be responsible for the preparation, build and installation of engineering systems within Blue water Yachts in line with the current drawings, specifications, and guidelines.
General Requirements of the Role
- Ability to build and install engineering systems in recreational craft.
- Able to read and interpret drawings.
- Excellent metal fabrication skills including TIG welding.
- Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, plumbing and gas installations and other similar systems.
- Ability to operate grinding and metal polishing machinery and hand tools correctly and safely.
- Good understanding of technologies within the yacht or recreational craft building industry.
- Ability to work on own initiative and work collaboratively with other trades.
- Practical problem-solving abilities with high standards and attention to detail & finish.
- Ability to use ladders, work on uneven levels and in confined spaces safely.
- H&S awareness, always ensuring best practice and compliance within guidelines.
Experience:
- Proven fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Time oriented individual with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of construction techniques of timber and GRP boats.
- Comprehensive engineering experience within the yacht or recreational craft building industry.
- Knowledge of the build and installation requirements of broader marine engineering systems in general.
- Experience in a similar role within the previous 2 years.
Based in Wroxham (NR12 8QN), Normal working hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8 hours per day. with the option to do 5 hours overtime a week.
Pay rates are offered on skill level which can be discussed.

Working Hours
* Shifts - 5 days from 7, day work - standard day 8am - 6pm including travel time

* Consistency of work - 5 days per week Monday - Sunday (can be weekends)
* Engineers will be required to complete On Call 1 in 3 weeks (for a full week, 7 days, 24/7 call out)
What's on offer?
* You will be paid up to £105 per day via an Umbrella company
* Van, fuel card & expenses
* Any overtime (more than 10 hours a day inclusive of travel) is paid at £10.50 per hour
* On call rate £100 flat payment for the week if you are on call, £10.50 per hour if called out
* Potential of further contract work in the future for the right candidate
This role has been assessed and deemed an inside IR35 role
