The SEN Teacher Job

My client is an outstanding Ofsted rated special school (#####) in Hillingdon. They are looking for a creative and vibrant SEN Teacher to join their team from September. They are seeking to appoint an SEN teacher who is able to demonstrate both excellent classroom practice and an up-to-date understanding of the latest developments in special needs best practise. The contract is for an SEN Teacher for an initial 12 months followed by a permanent contract subject to good performance starting in July #####.

This wonderful Hillingdon SEN School supports pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties including pupils with communication needs. Class sizes are capped at 7 pupils with 2-3 TAs. Experience in these areas would be beneficial comprehensive training and support systems are in place.

This large Hillingdon SEN school has a great reputation and is known for its family feel and popular SLT. Having consistently been deemed outstanding by OfSTED it offers an excellent level of education for children with complex autism and severe learning difficulties.

It is located in a well-connected and open leafy area, surrounded by nice grounds and offering good parking facilities. The SLT places great importance in building strong relationships with parents and in providing a positive environment for staff.

The Ideal SEN Teacher Applicant

  • The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver fun, creative, interesting lessons designed to increase stimulate independent thought, interaction and sensory engagement amongst pupils.

  • You must hold QTS or have a straightforward route to obtaining it.

  • You must have some experience teaching pupils with similar needs

  • Some relevant teaching experience in a UK or English speaking school is a must for applicants
