IT Support Technician - Permanent - Enniskillen: £Negotiable REED Technology are delighted to be retained by our client, a leading manufacturing organisation based in Enniskillen. Due to continued growth and expansion they are seeking to recruit an additional IT Technician to join their excellent team. Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will provide first and second line support to all users, ensuring the smooth operation of critical business systems across multiple sites. This role involves supporting Windows server-based applications and offering both onsite and remote I.T. support Responsibilities: Provide technical support to all staff, face-to-face, over the phone or by e-mail to assist in troubleshooting technical issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktop, laptop, and mobile systems. Administer the helpdesk: record, update, and document incidents and requests. Manage helpdesk work queues and report to management on helpdesk performance. Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of I.T. equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Provide ad hoc assistance to the I.T. manager in the completion I.T. related projects or schemes of work. Share and contribute to creating and updating a support knowledge base. Required skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC/laptop hardware. Commitment and understanding of the importance of cyber-security principles. Understanding and commitment to the importance of implementing cyber-security controls and processes. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Enthusiasm for technology and a desire to learn new skills. Attention to detail in all aspects of the role. Willingness to travel between office locations. Valid driver's license. Essential Criteria: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Desirable Requirements A degree in an I.T. discipline. Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server technology, VMWare Technology, Active Directory and Entra identity management an advantage but not essential If you are an experienced IT Support professional who meets the above criteria then we want to hear from you asap.
