An exciting opportunity for software engineers / mobile app developers to be a part of a global, fast paced and dynamic team based in Hull, to work on a mobile application. Junior developers and graduate software engineers with iOS app knowledge also welcome to apply.
12 month fixed term contract with potential of going permanent. £45,000 salary per annum, with a minimum 5% contract completion bonus even after extending to permanent employment with the company. 10% pension scheme. 25 day holiday allowance during the 12 month contract.
Full time, 37 hours per week. Hybrid working with flexible remote working hours.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Design, develop and maintain the iOS mobile applications alongside integrations to the hardware product set
* Lead the architecture and design of features from conception to inline
* Partner with other developers, product, hardware, marketing and stakeholders to understand, develop and deliver requirements
Skills and Experience required:
* 3+ years of software development experience
* 3+ years of experience with iOS development, Objective-C, Cocoa, Swift, Xcode
* Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle is essential
* Experience with APIs via REST & JSON is highly desirable
* Experience with OOP such as C++/Java is desirable
* Experience with reactive programming frameworks is desirable
* A passion for technology and ability to learn new concepts quickly
* Have great collaboration skills, be a good team player, a personable person with a creative and open attitude, with a delivery and action focus.
* Strong problem solving skills with the ability to overcome obstacles by getting support from others; extremely focussed to ensure that experimental programmes meet objectives.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, and an excellent communicator coupled with proven analytical and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in dealing with ambiguity and creating clarity for decision making when a diverse range of options are available.
* Experience in working in Devops and agile environments would be beneficial.
* Fluent in English.
* Chinese Mandarin is desirable
