Our client is a well-known UK distribution brand with a sizeable national branch network who are recruiting a Stock & Systems Manager for a new Distribution Centre, in line with business growth.
Candidates must have experience in start-up operations and automated warehouse environments in addition to leading teams, establishing process and SOPs. This role will have overall management and planning of inventory controls to ensure accurate, effective and efficient operational activity is delivered through the application and configuration of the Warehouse Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
WMS development experience
Manage a team of Stock & Systems Supervisors & administrators to ensure site operations run efficiently and within budget
Ultimately responsible for the management of inventory controls, item data and stock levels
Create and oversee a live stock reporting system using critical resources (e.g. heatmaps and ABC slotting tools)
Introduce and maintain first class inventory control processes and ensure appropriate stock procedures are documented and regularly reviewed to evidence complianceSkills & Experience:
Stock and Systems management experience within a large automated distribution warehouse environment
WMS Super User
Experience of writing SOPs and introducing inventory process to a business is essential
Start-up experience is ideal
Will preferably have a background in FMCG retail or wholesale distribution
An analytical mind with attention to detail and the ability to analyse data to problem-solve and make recommendations for solutions
Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload, in a time-critical, fast-paced environment
Excellent numerical and literacy skills
Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate to all levels of audience
Proficient with MS Office packages including Excel
