We're on the hunt for an experienced HGV Workshop Manager to lead our workshop team. In this role, you'll be in charge of organizing and running the workshop, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard, while also making sure we stick to all the rules and regs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the workshop workload to meet quality and efficiency standards, prioritize tasks, and ensure we're following all the laws, health & safety regulations, and DVSA standards.
• Keep an eye on parts replacements, making sure everything's given the go-ahead by senior management or the manufacturers.
• Help the team out when they're diagnosing and fixing problems, offering guidance and support.
• Make sure the workshop staff are hitting their targets and getting the job done.
• Sort out all the paperwork, making sure it's all in order and sent off to head office on time.
• Keep track of any repairs we've subcontracted, making sure everything's recorded and priced up correctly before we pay the bill.
• Make sure everyone's following the company's rules, policies, and quality standards.

Qualifications: To be the right fit for this role, you'll need:

• Experience managing teams with different levels of skill.
• Loads of experience working on vehicles, making sure they're in top-notch condition.
• Great budgeting skills, so we're not spending more than we should.
• Experience filling out all the paperwork, making sure it's all up to scratch.
• A good understanding of health & safety rules and DVSA requirements.
• The ability to switch between working in the office and getting your hands dirty in the workshop.
