Health, Safety and Environmental Manager - Sellafield, Cumbria - c6 month contract (inside IR35, rate negotiable) - heavy civil engineering and construction project

Responsibilities:-

• Offer technical expertise on Health Safety and Environmental matters, managing a team of 3 SHE professionals across the project 

• Assist in implementing and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental management systems

• Supervise subcontractor safety practices

• Lead safety programmes/initiatives and foster safety culture 

• Conduct site audits and report on HSE incidents

• Develop and deliver HSE training

• Liaise with international and local workers on HSE issues

• Maintain audit registers and produce monthly safety reports
  

What We Need:-
Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L6 in OHAS
Previous experience in  construction-related activities (including CDM), ideally heavy civil engineering

Ideally, possess significant expertise to serve as a subject matter expert in one or more key areas of health, safety or environment
Must have strong interpersonal, IT and research skills and the ability to positively influence management
