About the Team
The Darlington Leadership Team is a small team with big ambitions and a large and diverse network of volunteers that reaches across the whole of the Darlington Economic Campus (DEC). We are working to deliver the DEC vision; to embed the campus within Darlington and our wider North East community and to work collaboratively across the 9 departments that are co located here. This is a diverse team, who work on a wide range of outreach activities, engaging with schools, universities, the private sector, and local government and who are instrumental in changing the way we work, having a meaningful influence not just at the DEC but in the civil service more broadly.
You will be working directly to the team’s Deputy Director with line management responsibility for an engagement coordinator (HEO grade). You’ll also work closely with a range of colleagues from different government departments across the Campus to realise DEC’s vision and objectives.
About the Job
In this role, you will:
Develop and deliver Engagement strategy for everyone that works at HM Treasury; everyone that works at DEC, and our external partners (existing and future) including the local community, business, local authorities, universities, schools.
Identify and lead specific engagement activities as required.
Line manage Engagement Co-ordinator
Stakeholder Engagement
Provide Internal Governance to the Campus
As the Darlington Economic Campus develops, we expect this role to develop too and the post holder will have the opportunity to influence this.
About You
The success of the DEC vision is a collective effort and is dependent on the engagement and partnership of the three key audiences mentioned above. This purpose of this role is to develop and deliver an engagement strategy for each of these groups that will take the Darlington Economic Campus even closer to delivering its vision.
