Description: An opportunity has opened for a proven Procurement Professional to join our Private Equity owned, UK Headquartered, Electronics Distribution & Service Provision Business. This is a newly created Group role.
Objectives for the Role: Improve relationships with our strategic European, Asian & North American suppliers, leading to the identification of new ways to collaborate. Improve product margins through aggregation, new supplier introduction and the implementation of innovative commercial agreements. Establishment of risk/reward sharing consignment agreements.
Optimisation of inventory levels to ensure complete continuity of supply whilst maximising financial returns.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of a team of 6 located in Catterick, Newbury and Hong Kong. Ownership of the Group Inventory Management Function. Negotiation of all Procurement and Supplier Agreements. Working with the Business Development & Account Management functions to create innovative and compelling commercial proposals to our growing list of Customers. Monthly reporting of all pertinent key performance measures for the function together with the ownership of any improvement plans.
Personal attributes of the successful candidate: Confident and capable of conducting business Internationally. Excellent interpersonal skills and will have the ability to motivate their teams as well as influence a strong Executive Group. Highly analytical and understands how to use data for the best effect.
Professional Experience Required: Substantial relevant experience within an equally demanding Supply Chain Environment ideally gained within a Distribution environment.A background of managing and developing a procurement team is essential. Technical knowledge of passive & active electronic components is a significant advantage.
Professional & Educational Qualifications Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) - Level 5 or above.
Degree or similar level qualificationRemuneration: £70k pa plus £6k Car allowance, Annual Bonus Plan & Healthcare
