My client a well established fulfillment company based in Blackburn is looking for an Inbound Checker to join their goods in team on a temp-perm basis. The hours are working rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work in line with agreed company work procedures
* Count physical stock received against quantity and description as advised on supplier delivery notes
* Ensuring the appropriate level of count is carried out
* High value and specific deliveries will require 100% contents checks
* Accurately follow the inbound process
* Repalletise stock as required in order for the pallets to be located in the warehouse racking
* Report any delivery count discrepancies through the correct channels
* Health and safety procedures must be observed at all times, to maintain a safe and legal working environment
* A good standard of housekeeping must be maintained within all work areas. Work areas must be kept clean and free from obstruction or waste at all times
* Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers
Critical Skills
* Accurate, conscientious, who will be literate and numerate
* Experience of WMS and PC applications
* An MHE licence is advantageous
* Ability to follow instructions
* Understanding of basic health and safety
* Common sense approach with an aptitude for detail
