FISHERERIES CONSERVATION OFFICER (REF: FCO/24) TEMPORARY 1 Year (subject to funding and with a possible extension) Grade: FOI / Salary Scale: £30,721 to £31,352 per annum Purpose of the Role The Fisheries Conservation Officer will assist with the planning, delivery and monitoring of conservation projects that will contribute to nature positivity and climate adaption throughout the Foyle and Carlingford Areas to allow the Agency to deliver on our fisheries improvement remit. Essential Criteria Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date for applications: Minimum 2:1 BSc (Hons) Degree in a Fisheries Science subject (or other relevant subjects e.g. Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Marine Biology or Zoology) or equivalent qualification. 1 years post qualification experience gained in the last 10 years in a relevant environmental and conservation role. Experience of managing and maintaining data and processes. Experience of dealing with external stakeholders. Candidates must hold a full current driving licence (with not more than 6 penalty points) held for a minimum of two years. Desirable Criteria Some or all of the following criteria MAY be used in the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications: Post graduate qualification in an environmental sciences or other relevant subjects gained in the last 10 years. 3 or more years relevant work experience.
