As the Finance & Administration Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations and administration of Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. You'll be part of a small but dynamic finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance and the Finance & Administration Assistant to ensure the smooth running of financial processes and contributing to the organisation's overall success.

The Role:

  • Process payroll, salary payments, pensions, and associated financial journals.
  • Manage nominal and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate processing of income and expenditure.
  • Oversee invoicing, reconciliations, and aged creditors/debtors management.
  • Assist with financial reporting, budget preparation, and funding claims.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing IT assets, fixed assets, and supplier records.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience using Sage Line 50 or similar accounting products.
  • Experience in financial reporting, income/expenditure processing, and journal management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience processing regular financial journals.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • An Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in payroll processing and staff management.
  • Experience working in a charity or non-profit setting.
  • Familiarity with grant/trust financial claims management.
  • Experience with administrative support in a finance department.

Location & Hours:

This role offers flexible working hours (8am - 6pm), with core hours from 10am to 4pm. The position operates under a hybrid working model, with 2 days per week in the Belfast office and the option to work from home the remainder of the time.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £26,378 - £28,576 per annum, depending on experience. (The role is permanent, subject to ongoing funding.)
  • Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful operates an excellent 4-day working week - 30 hours on full pay. KNIB have pioneered and operated a 4-Day Working week to great success for a number of years, however please note this is subject to ongoing review on an annual basis.
