Our client is currently seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician (Compex certified) to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical background and demonstrate proficiency in maintaining and repairing various systems within their facilities.
Responsibilities
As a Facilities Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints to carry out maintenance tasks.
Conducting routine inspections of building systems to identify and promptly address any issues.
Performing repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
Implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as needed throughout the facility.
Providing regular upkeep on Site Services such as compressed air systems, refrigeration plants, cooling towers, package boilers, hydraulic systems, and HPHW systems.
Locating and fixing electrical and mechanical defects, including PLC control systems, and making modifications when necessary.
Installing, identifying, and fixing DC and AC drives.
Participating in process optimisation initiatives aimed at lowering idle times and increasing departmental productivity.
Delivering excellent customer service when interacting with staff and external contractors.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Proficiency in electrical knowledge and electrical systems, with a minimum HNC/HND level of education and qualified Electrician status.
Compex certification is essential.
Experience in maintaining building facilities.
Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Ability to troubleshoot logic controllers and automated systems.
