Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the�UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.



Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Facilities Assistant�to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.



We are looking for a�Facilities Assistant�who wants to work in a diverse role�where no two days are the same.



As the�Facilities Assistant,�you will�provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.



The�Facilities Assistant,�will be responsible for:




  • Weekly & monthly planned maintenance (visual inspections), such as:

    • Lighting and�emergency lighting

    • Fire alarms and call points

    • Utility metre readings

    • Storerooms and vehicles.



  • General�maintenance activities, such as:

    • Re-lamping of defective luminaires

    • Minor plumbing tasks and repairs

    • Minor�building fabric and decorating repairs.



  • Water hygiene tasks including water flushing and�temperature checks.

  • Escorting duties for 3rd�party contractors and building outages.



To be successful for this Facilities Assistant�role you must have:




  • Experience of building maintenance in a caretaker / handy persons role or similar.

  • Experience beyond this is beneficial but not essential.

  • Good�communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work as a team.

  • Experience of working within a customer focused environment, with an understanding of health, safety and statutory building compliance requirements.

  • A�confident and driven applicant, that demonstrates a proactive approach to maintenance and building management.

  • An eye for detail and�accuracy with the ability to record the correct information accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.

  • Must hold a full UK driver's license.
