Key Role Objectives & Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for the operation and technical maintenance of assembly cells, valve assembly lines and pump lines ensuring all lines run safely and efficiently on each shift.
* Communicate clearly on handovers for the oncoming shift.
* Perform quality control according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications.
* Perform technical cleaning of equipment.
* Repair/refurb components that are used in the lines.
* Using a self-diagnosing system for errors via the sensors (auto check)
* Responsible for the upkeep of tools/toolboxes in ensuring having all of the tools at hand all of the time.
* Preventative/Reactive technical maintenance of lines.
* Support the business with Holiday/absence cover.
* Be fully trained on our warehousing software and system which includes Laser Guided Vehicles and Pick and place.
* Ability to drive the required outputs and efficiency's always prioritising safety and quality on your shift.
* Work with warehouse team to ensure on time delivery of components to production lines.
* Responsible for the upkeep of tools/tool boxes in ensuring having all of the tools at hand all of the time.
* Maintain high standards of H&S practices and adhere to housekeeping measures.
* Responsible for the effective management of Senior Operators
* To build a good communication and team ethic across the shifts and functions
* Able to assist our external software support by having good communication skills to resolve issues/concerns with the assembly machines.
* Actively looking to improve on Productivity and share this drive with other shifts.
* Testing and hands on development (Kaizen improvement system)
* Stocktaking
* Any other reasonable request made by a Director, Manager or Shift Leader of the organisation.
Key Skills and Experience
* Experience working in an automated or semi-automated manufacturing environment.
* Experience with and knowledge of any of the following technologies/industries is advantageous:-
* valve assembly
* actuator assembly
* injection moulding
* FMCG
* Automotive
* Food manufacturing
* Experience and understanding of root cause analysis and fault finding is essential
* HSE knowledge and awareness
* Electrical/Mechanical experience advantageous.
* Analytical & Basic Computer Skills.
* Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings and manuals.
* Ability to fault find to component level.
* Understanding and keen interest in continuous improvement
* Understanding of ISO9001/14001 and BRC standards.
* Ability to understand production planning to ensure production flow.
* Be able to handle boxes of components and pallets up to 10kg in weight and in line with HSE guidelines on manual handling.
* Experience of "5 why's"

* �16.91 per hour (�14.71 basic plus 15% shift allowance)

* 24/7 shift pattern - 2 days shifts (6am to 6pm) followed by 2 night shifts (6pm to 6am) followed by 4 days off
