Our client is hiring for a Head of Engineering, to help build an AI platform that links ordinary people to the most famous leaders, thinkers and idols, by using artificial intelligence and an extensive library of pre-recorded video footage. As a Head of Engineering, you ill be leading a cross functional engineering team to build an app that generates real-time, two-way conversational interactions on mobile, offering information, education, and entertainment. You will ideally be hands on, coming from either a mobile or Microsoft background.
Hands on software engineering background with at least 2 years in a team, project, or department leadership position.
be familiar with multiple platforms and languages
Held numerous positions equivalent to developer, senior developer, tech-lead, project-lead, head-of engineering, at a variety of company sizes
People and project management:
Managing people directly in engineering roles
Agile methodologies
DevOps practices

NET
Integrating C/C++ libraries with iOS and Android apps
Bespoke and off-the-shelf content-management-systems

Coordinate with and support other disciplines within the business: product, design, AI, and content-production
Identify potential improvements in workflows of engineering and other disciplines and pro-actively champion these initiatives
Get hands-on writing code, services, pipelines, tools as needed
Liaise with product to help spec out upcoming tickets in advance of more detailed refinement with the team
