About the Job:
Link3 Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Early Years Manager to lead our team and ensure high standards of childcare and education in our Leicester nursery.

Main Duties:


  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver outstanding early education and care, aiming for high Ofsted ratings.
  • Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage requirements, Standards, and all relevant policies.
  • Develop and communicate the setting's ethos and vision, creating a welcoming environment and fostering strong parent partnerships.
  • Write, implement, and review the setting’s development plan.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing and organization, ensuring smooth running of the setting.
  • Address individual needs of children, including health and special educational needs/disabilities, ensuring positive developmental progress.
  • Use nursery management software to manage occupancy and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Contribute to budget meetings, manage budgets, and complete funding documentation to maximize income.
  • Ensure safety of children and staff, supporting safe risk-taking environments.
  • Comply with Ofsted requirements and HR policies, conduct investigations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the code of practice, including safeguarding, health and safety, and GDPR.
  • Stay updated with current practices through training and professional development.

Requirements:


  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) and meet all EYFS standards; Level 2 Math’s qualification required or to be achieved within 2 years if employed or internally changing roles after January 4, 2024.
  • Demonstrate proven post-qualification experience in early years education and childcare.
  • Possess Paediatric First Aid qualification and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Exhibit excellent knowledge of EYFS, Development Matters, Birth to Five Matters, and current early years legislation.
  • Understand child development and plan and implement the EYFS curriculum, considering Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice.
  • Manage safeguarding, budget, staff training, and promotional activities.
  • Proven post-qualification experience in working in early education and childcare
  • Sound IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office programmes, nursery management software, social media platforms and online portals effectively
  • The ability to multi-task and establish rapport with staff, families, and external agencies.
