This role involves working closely with a Ministry of Defence (MOD) client, ensuring the successful deployment and management of secure cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Build, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud environments, ensuring they meet security and performance requirements.
Automation & Optimization: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to enhance cloud infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
Security Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to MOD security policies, leveraging your understanding of secure cloud environments.
Collaboration: Work alongside architects and other engineers to deliver robust and reliable cloud solutions that align with client needs.
Monitoring & Support: Implement monitoring tools and respond to incidents to maintain high availability and performance of cloud systems.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
DV Clearance: Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is a must due to the sensitive nature of the client projects.
AWS Expertise: Strong experience in deploying and managing AWS cloud environments, with relevant AWS certifications being advantageous.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud computing, infrastructure as code (IaC), automation tools, and containerization.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders across various levels.
