Your typical day as our Driver Trainer:
You'll lead our Occupational Road Risk Management, delivering driver related training and guidance to our road-based technicians and colleagues. Supporting over 400 colleagues covering the whole of the UK, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the business, reporting into the Health and Safety Manager.
You'll deliver a combination of coaching, training and guidance to embed positive road safety behaviours, fuel efficient driving and vehicle responsibility. Utilising your expertise in driver training, legislation, policing and road safety, we'll give you the support you need to deliver a package of initiatives, based on data driven decision making. Developing company driving standards, you'll own and report on driving performance, deliver on-road practical driver training for new and existing drivers, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness.
This is a brand-new opportunity within a growing team and would suit someone with experience in road traffic policing, civilian driver training within law enforcement or similar. Leading continuous improvement of our driver operations, you'll also conduct vehicle inspections, initial drug and alcohol testing, and help keep our drivers and vehicles fuel efficient while enforcing compliance and safest behaviours.
You'll have:
· Knowledge of Occupational Road Risk
· Experience in Road Policing Legislation and Procedure(ideally)
· A full UK Driving Licence
· Level 4 Driver Assessor qualification or similar
· Strong communication skills and influencing skills, including delivering training and presentations.
