Job Title: Design Engineer/Draughsperson

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for producing high-quality general arrangement and manufacturing drawings, including material profiles for CNC laser cutting, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project requirements.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create technical drawings to industry standards.


• Generate sheet/plate pattern profiles for laser cutting.


• Interpret contract documentation and specifications.


• Produce parts lists and bills of materials.


• Liaise with sales, project teams, and management.


• Identify cost-saving opportunities.


• Assist in developing new products.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.


• Experience in an engineering environment.


• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining.


• Proficiency in 2D CAD (AutoCAD); 3D CAD (SolidWorks) desirable.


• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001.
