Role Overview:
Join our team at our office in Kings Cross and be the “go-to” person on engineering matters. As a Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in continuing to build our proprietary system, which communicates with data providers and trading platforms daily. You will also take part in discussing business development opportunities and system upgrades with our external advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
Data pipeline development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from various sources (databases, APIs, external systems) to ensure seamless data flow
Automation and Infrastructure: Automate data processes, infrastructure, and workflows using scripts, APIs, and orchestration tools
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand and meet data needs.
Qualifications:
Must have: 3-4 years as a Data/software Engineer (any industry), experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Education: STEM Master’s degree from a reputable institution.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in building greenfield projects from the ground up and improving existing codebases, showcased through personal or professional work. Strong proficiency in Python programming is essential.
Desirable Skills: Familiarity with React/Javascript to build and enhance dashboard frontend.
