Be-IT is seeking a Cyber Operations Manager for a prominent client located in Glasgow.

In this role, you will oversee a team that responds to security alerts, collaborate with subject matter experts and users regarding these alerts, and manage vulnerabilities for the client. You will work closely with both internal teams and managed service partners to ensure thorough investigation of events and alerts, as well as to support the remediation of system vulnerabilities.

This is a permanent position based in Glasgow, with an annual salary of £65,000 - £79,000 for the right candidate.

Role Responsibilities:
Manage team and outsourced MDR capabilities, including after-hours responses.
Continuously improve the cyber incident response plan, playbooks, and processes to enable the security operations team to react swiftly and effectively to incidents.
Develop robust security operations capabilities and use purple team engagements to fine-tune and validate detection tools and response procedures.
Collaborate with IT teams to address vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
Plan and coordinate extensive security incident response, remediation, and recovery efforts involving multiple stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation of daily and weekly security reports.
Manage vulnerability management and compliance scanning processes.
Communicate with stakeholders across the organization to reduce vulnerabilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong understanding of common techniques used by threat actors.
Experience in preventing and detecting typical attack techniques as outlined in the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Familiarity with tuning and configuring cybersecurity tools like SIEM and EDR, as well as knowledge of enterprise IT networks, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
Understanding of service management with key partners.
Experience in people management, including coaching and mentoring.

Position Details:
Permanent role
Salary of £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Based in Glasgow with hybrid working (1 day in the office minimum)
Own car and driving license is desirable
Must have the right to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
