My client are one of the fastest growing precision engineering firms in the area, with an impressive order book further strengthening their growth over the months and years to come. Following a period of investment and business restructure, they are looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor for their busy commercial team based in Cambridge.
As part of the Customer Service team, you will be responsible for creating works orders, updating various production systems as needed, and managing customer queries as they happen. You will provide the 'first point of contact' for various customer queries by email or telephone, and be responsible for the administration of sales orders, acknowledgements and effective communication. A large part of the role will be focussed on a need to support the monitoring of customer contracts through of the system and work flow, collating feedback and ensuring effective customer communication in a timely manner.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Responsible for taking calls from customers
- Support the daily delivery schedule updates and the generation of the daily overdue analysis report.
- Answer customer queries and proactively provide effective contract communications through the development of excellent relationships with customers.
- Responsible for ensuring all works orders capture the costs associated with the production of the contract
Ideally you will have a background in delivering strong customer service in a fast paced and structured environment, such as a call centre in a manufacturing or logistics business. An understanding of CRM or MRP systems is preferred, and a high standard of communication and IT skills are essential.
