Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a large Secondary Academy on the outskirts of Chesterfield who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a full time basis to support the covering of lessons for students aged 11 - 18.

The role of the Cover Supervisor is to deliver pre-planned work to students, manage any low level disruptions and keep students on task. This role would be suitable for anyone with experience working with Secondary aged children, and CPD will be provided including a Team Teach accreditation to aid with managing behaviours.

The job

• The school is looking for someone who is passionate about education and supporting learning.
• Deliver pre-set work to students in any subject across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• You will not be expected to be a subject specialist in any area, however if you have a specialist subject please do make us aware!
• You will gain valuable experience working with children in a Secondary school setting.
• This role would be great for someone considering completing their Teacher training.

The successful candidate will

• Have experience working with Secondary Aged children.
• Have a passion for supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Hold a degree or equivalent.
• Have outstanding teaching practice.
• Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum.
• Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
