Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of contract management, including negotiations, risk assessments, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Identify risks and potential issues in contracts, providing proactive solutions and advice.
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all documentation is in line with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in contract management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and industry-standard contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in law, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIPS).
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
