Got a keen eye for building things with a passion for travelling around and being part of new building development projects while earning a good salary? Construction can fulfil all of these things.
Did you know that the average salary for working in construction is £37,500? A career path in Construction will open doors to landing some of the highest-paid roles and it can even give you the opportunity to go into the ‘Craft’ sector being the most popular in the construction world.
If you’d like to explore the craft sector there is a broad range of jobs you could do such as a Wood occupation like a shop fitter or a wood machinist, exterior occupations (bricklayer or a general construction operative), interior occupations (painter and decorator or ceiling fixer), specialist occupations (Thatcher, roofer or scaffolder) and plant occupations( plant mechanic or plant operator). Also, there are positions that may vary, ranging from a steel fixer to a construction worker or site supervisor.
On the other hand, the average salary for property managers in construction is £42,500. Yet, estate agent jobs have a starting salary in the region of £14,000 to £20,000. With experience, salaries can rise to £25,000 to £60,000, plus commission.
Someone once asked “How many ants do you need to rent out an apartment?”, to which the reply was “Tenants”.
