Working alongside a consultancy based in Manchester looking to grow their expansive team of within the property sector with the addition of a Chartered Building Surveyor.

The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset and demonstrate a high level of intellect, effectively merging exceptional written and oral communication skills to generate thorough and resilient reports and recommendations. Additionally, they should have the ability to showcase their capability to eventually oversee individual team members, taking charge of organising their project assignments and offering assistance when needed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop comprehensive briefs in collaboration with the Client and senior colleagues.
  • Cultivate and sustain client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and partnership.
  • Support senior colleagues in business development endeavours.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys, encompassing measured surveys, condition assessments, and defect analyses.
  • Develop designs and specifications, including the preparation of tender documentation.
  • Administer building contracts, adhering to standards such as JCT and NEC.
  • Execute various professional surveying tasks, including condition assessments, defect analyses, party wall consultations, dilapidations, insurance inspections, claims advice, and Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and other consultants, both internally and externally.
  • Aid the team leader in managing project finances, recruitment, mentoring, and team leadership.
  • Hold a relevant degree approved by RICS.
  • Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  • Possess experience in advising on commercial, healthcare, or educational properties within either the public or private sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
  • Familiarity with NBS Chorus.
  • Possession of a full UK Driving License.
