Category Manager (IT)

One of Morgan Law's public sector clients requires an experienced procurement professional, responsible for developing and implementing a procurement strategy across their IT category area.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Head of Procurement to establish an IT procurement category plan inline with the overall procurement strategy.
Develop a commercially focused approach using market intelligence and category expertise.
Identify key stakeholders and suppliers and actively manage those relationships including carrying our formal reviews when appropriate.
Provide input to the organisation's procurement strategy ensuring it supports the organisations overall goals.
Manage the efficient delivery of competitive procurement procedures across a range of goods and services using variety of tools, vehicles and routes.

Person Specification:

Track record of developing and implementing IT procurement category strategies
Proven subject matter expertise in the technology space, with evidence of successfully delivering commercial benefits
Knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Procurement Act 2023/Procurement Regulations 2024
Track record working in the education sector (desirable not essential)
