Our client, an award winning, printing and media marketing specialist, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Production Planner for their head office in Teesside.
Working across four main market sectors, Education, Automotive, Retail and Hospitality, they create highly personalised award-winning multi-channel marketing campaigns as well as printed work in most formats which is often data driven.
This is a fast moving, highly innovative business that incorporates creative design, digital development, digital, litho, screen, direct to garment and large format print as well as in-house mailing facilities.
Assistant Production Planner Role:
You will have experience in a similar role and come from a manufacturing background. Going forward the role has great scope to develope so would better suit ambitious and driven individuals.
Responsibilites of the Assistant Production Planner:
Generation of production plans/forecasts using an Electronic Planning Tool
Maintain the production plan and ensure the plan is in line with customer requirements
Analysing and revising production plans and updating deadlines
Identify material shortages for customer demands and purchasing of materials required
Identify any risks and take action to improve this, identifying root cause of any delays
Managing resource and capacity planning, and adjust as necessary
Effectively communicating changes to other areas of the business
Assisting in other areas of the supply chain
Have the desire to drive improvements through change and challenging inefficiencies
Previous planning experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrate good knowledge of MRP and other materials management techniques and systems
Knowledge of and/or an understanding of day to day planning/production activities and of concepts around manufacturing principles.
Flexible in your approach and able to quickly learn and adapt to changing circumstances
Excellent communication skills at all levels within a business
Computer literate and able to demonstrate good IT Skill
Hours of Work
Day Shift 8:30am to 5:30pm
