We are on the hunt for people with great attention to detail, and the ability to manually assemble small component parts and wiring of small units for our engineering based client in Taunton, Somerset. The Assembly Operative role is within a busy, manufacturing environment within a well-established company who supplies very small components to various industries. As an Assembly Operative you will provide support on different stages of the production process, making sure that the quality of the products meets the required standards. Your duties will include assembly of small parts, some soldering and wiring as well as packing final products ready for despatch. You will be involved in all elements of the product lifecycle.
Some assembly experience in a manufacturing environment and great manual dexterity would be essential for this role. As well as ability to read engineering drawings and understand order instructions.
This role would suit anyone who has previously worked as an: Assembler, Assembly Operative, Technical Assistant, Production Assistant, Production Operative, CPB Wirer, Welder, Manufacturing Operative or anyone with a hobby or passion which requires close assembly work.
Hours of work: 8:30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with regular overtime available.
The rate of pay: £9.52 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half.
