VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Public Sector employer based in Ballymena in their recruitment of an Interim Accountant. This is initially an interim contract role for a period of 6 months and will work closely with the wider finance team with a focus on specialist projects centralised around cost reduction initiatives. This role will work closely with non-finance staff, understanding significant drivers and preparing & presenting reports to senior management. To be considered for this role, it is essential to have excellent financial modelling skills, with an inquisitive approach to problem solving.

About you
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong MS Excel skills
Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact with non-finance staff
Available at short notice
What you'll do
Prepare and present detailed financial reports, ensuring accuracy
Analyse large volumes of financial data to identify trends, anomalies and insights that support business decisions
Maintain and improve data management systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Support in delivering month end reporting
Project accounting
