Account Manager
European Road Freight
Wythenshawe, Manchester
£25,000 plus achievable bonuses
Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
I’m currently recruiting for two road freight account managers to join a well-established freight forwarding company transporting freight to the EU. They are seeking freight account managers to support the current operation with their increasing workload.

The Candidate;
* Previous Freight forwarding experience
* Experience of European road freight is highly desirable
* Have dealt with end-end logistical processes
* Sales experience within freight
* Experience of customs regulations is desirable
* Experience of working within a fast paced shipping or logistics office
* Can do attitude taking responsibility
* Genuinely passionate in finding solutions for clients
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to clearly communicate
* Confident in decision making and negotiating
* Must be able to work within a forward-thinking team
Duties and Responsibilities;
* Seek, Develop and secure new opportunities from existing business
* Measure, monitor and review performance of key accounts, ensuring budgets and forecasts are met
* Identify and monitor key performance and financial indicators for principal clients
* Manage your client’s shipment operation from inception through to completion
* Maintain service expectations of existing accounts
* Select appropriate carrier/ haulier as to maximise profits
* Integrate new business into our service network
* Work closely with Internal teams (notably accounts, customs and transport) to ensure the seamless movement of cargo from origin to destination
* Be aware of market trends to remain competitive
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, this may include site visits from time to time
* Meet set individually set quarterly targets with the opportunity to earn profit-based commission
