The company

A forward thinking and progressive college are on the lookout for a Lecturer to teach a 4-week AAT course for a group of students.

The role

They are looking to add an AAT Lecturer to the team on a short-term basis, a 4-week contract. The working hours are Wednesday (9:00- 14:30) Undertaking a 4-week course for a group of eager to learn students,

You will take responsibility for:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of AAT modules.
• Develop and prepare teaching materials, assessments, and schemes of work that align with the AAT curriculum.
• Provide support, guidance, and feedback to students to help them achieve their educational goals.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the AAT course, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date with industry standards.
• Support the college's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• A recognised teaching qualification
• AAT qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven experience teaching AAT or similar accounting qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to reflect on practice and implement improvements.
• Knowledge of current developments in accounting education and the AAT framework.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience working in a further education setting.
• Familiarity with virtual learning environments and online teaching tools.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.

What is on offer

On offer is the chance to join a forward thinking and progressive college. Working one day a week, there is an hourly rate of between �25 and �35 on offer for the right candidate.
