Prospero Teaching are looking for an inspiring, enthusiastic and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEN in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Newcastle. The role is to start in September and is full-time, 08.30-15.30 Monday to Friday for the full Academic Year. For the right candidate, there is the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.
The pupil has ASD. The role will involve supporting the pupil with their learning on a 1:1 basis, so the successful candidate will need to be a resilient practitioner and have excellent relationship-building skills.
The role will involve supporting the pupil during all of their lessons, and communicating effectively with Class Teachers to ensure appropriate strategies are used that are suited to the individual needs and learning styles of the pupils to allow them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress.
