I was working as a Senior Transport Coordinator for Rhys Davies Freight Logistics for over 17 years in initially a driving capacity before being promoted through the company with relevant training to achieve a Transport Management CPC and the ultimate responsibility of the Rainham, Essex depot employing 24 members of staff. During this time i gained good knowledge of all administration work and office duties and am responsible for all aspects of attendance, BPI procedure, health and safety and disciplinary procedures as well as the general day to day running of a busy Transport depot. I am also fully conversant with warehouse procedures as well as logistics and my role demands that I am involved in all aspects of Transport and supply chain works. I also have the necessary management CPC qualification in order to obtain a Operators licence within the Transport industry. Since redundancy from my position above following a TUPE process i have returned to HGV driving and am currently in full time employment with Travis Perkins Builders Merchants as a HGV Class 2 Driver and am part of a team responsible for deliveries from the Tilbury, Essex Range Centre to designated depots as and where necessary.
